As the sorrow takes away my smile
Tears flow out like the River Nile
Like a torrent in single file

Stuck in a time loop of painful grief
Wondering when I will feel  relief
From this sadness as I shake like a leaf
Trying to control my disbelief

I am coming to terms that you are gone
That your life on earth is truly done
It leaves an ache that lingers on
weighing heavily just like a ton

Full of zest and glowing life
Snatched away in the darkened night
Peaceful soul that tried her best
To be the grandmother that no one would contest
