EMBERS OF WAR

The embers of war, they flicker and burn,
A testament to the battles we yearn.
In the depths of destruction, they ignite,
A haunting reminder of the endless fight.

They smolder and shimmer, casting their glow,
A tragic display of a world laid low.
Once vibrant cities reduced to ash,
The embers of war, a somber and harsh.

The scars run deep, etched upon the land,
A testament to the strength we withstand.
The cries of the fallen still fill the air,
Their echoes linger, a burden we bear.

Yet amidst the ruins, hope finds a way,
A small flicker of light in the darkest day.
The embers of war, they hold the key,
To rise from the ashes, to be truly free.

For in their dying glow, there lies rebirth,
A chance to rebuild, to reclaim our worth.
To learn from the past, to forge a new start,
To heal the wounds that tore us apart.

So let the embers of war guide our way,
To a future where peace will forever stay.
May the flames of destruction be forever tamed,
And the embers of war finally be named.
