DARKNESS

In the depths of darkness, where shadows creep,
I find solace, a refuge from the world’s unrest.
A silent sanctuary where secrets are kept,
I hide within the veil, unseen and discreet.

In the shadows, I find a cloak of mystery,
A shroud that conceals my deepest vulnerability.
Like a phantom, I venture through the night,
Seeking solace, away from prying sight.

No judgment can penetrate these obsidian walls,
As my essence merges with the night’s vast sprawl.
In this realm of shadows, I am truly free,
Embracing the enigma that resides within me.

For in the darkness, there is a certain peace,
A respite from the chaos that never seems to cease.
I watch the world dance in the glow of the sun,
But it is in the shadows where I find my own spun.

Here, I am untethered, unburdened, unchained,
A part of something greater, a realm unrestrained.
Lost in the whispers of the nocturnal breeze,
I merge with the shadows, my spirit at ease.

But as the moon wanes and daylight breaks,
I must retreat from the solace the darkness makes.
For the world demands my presence, my face in the light,
And my soul, reluctantly, must take its flight.

Yet, in the depths of my being, a longing remains,
To return to the shadows, where solace sustains.
For it is there that I find my truest self,
In the embrace of darkness, where I find stealth.

So, I’ll forever seek those hidden corners and nooks,
The sanctuaries where shadows write my story in books.
For in the shadows, I am where I belong,
A poet of the night, singing my soul’s song
