In Jesus Christ we put our trust
Shaking off all our distrust
His Saving power is the crust
To the Salvation of the just and unjust
The light of Christ lingers near
For those who listen and hold dear
The Words of God that make clear
Out of darkness we must persevere
Fighting battles of sin and unbelief,
Comforted in the belief
That He will protect us from the ‘Thief’
Who roams the world seeking souls that live in disbelief
