I knelt and looked to the church stained glass
And wonder how long this phase will last
An empty church with empty pews
Enveloped in silence without Good news
I sit alone and as I pray
I hope and long for a brand new day
Where people come to church to stay
And worship you in fervent prayer
On bended knees, I call on you
Dear Lord and Father please unscrew
The evil grip that’s not new
That keep your children from serving you
Lift up the ban that closed the church
That serves and acts like a scourge
Let people return in such a surge
To worship the Lord and converge
Let’s praise the Lord of miracles
And place Him high on pinnacles
So that all may see that He has won
There’s no one else that can match His run
