Let us build a lasting bridge
Casting out all hurt and slur
Dig up roots that leads to war
Sow seeds of respect and love
Calm the raging seas that threaten all
Quell the storms and Siren’s call
Let the sun come sailing through
And the darkened clouds dispel
Restoring hope where despair once reigned
Removing pain and suffering that is ingrained
Change the politics of people’s lives
Giving them a chance to survive
Let us start the motion to reconcile
Open channels that will make us smile
Suppressing selfishness and pride
So that we can reach the other side
Consider what we will become
When we break out from hate and strife
And try to cross the great divide
Without the conflict to a better life
