The year rolls slowly to its end
Taking with its lies and trends
Covid came and shook the world
From their slumber as it unfurled
Death and havoc in its wake
Causing tension and heartbreak
People are reeling from the outbreak
Thinking that this must surely be a mistake
That Social distancing is just a game
Keeping people in a cold frame
With isolation causing minds to suddenly become inane
2020 has so many stories to upload
Leaving governments at a crossroad
Looking for remedies to the right road
Exploring options to improve the health code
And serve the populace by making inroads
As 2021 looms closer to our side
We both hope there will be no more cries
That there’s victory like a landslide
That will help the nations worldwide
Overcome economic traumas ,restore confidence and national pride
