A peaceful protest takes quite a turn
When special forces act without restraint
We’re patriotic ,in tears we sing
Not swayed by death and pain they’ll bring
The cctv and lights go out
And shutdown access to networks too
Unarmed,afraid ,yet very brave
They face the cycle to the grave
These evil men sent from up above
Killed 20 people as if not enough
The situation , a ticking bomb
Designed by government with great aplomb
The blatant killings before curfew
Brought chaos ,shock to more than few
A fervent attack on civil liberties
Entrenching fear and insecurities
