The final act plays on the screen
the curtains fall and the veil is seen
The candle flickers and then is gone
It’s served its time and now is done
The waters still and all is calm
A peaceful transition like soothing balm
The distress in life did take its toll
But perseverance did take control
So now you bow out and give up your place
You’ve left a hole that we all face
It’s time to go and we all know
Your fading glow is what we feel and show
