Finding Hope Amidst Chaos: A Poem for Today

The world hums low with restless sound,
A fragile peace, unsteady ground.
The winds of change no map can trace,
Sweep through each heart, each time, each place.
Voices rise, then break like waves,
Echoing fears no silence saves.
Skies once blue now flicker gray,
As hope and doubt both kneel and pray.
We see the fractures, deep and wide,
Truth and trust pulled to each side.
Hands once joined now fall apart,
Leaving distance where lived the heart.
And yet beneath the roaring air,
A quieter rhythm lingers there
A pulse of light, though bruised and dim,
Still dares to hope, still dares to hymn.
For even storms must lose their breath,
No night escapes the dawn of death.
And through the chaos, fierce and wild,
The world still dreams—God’s restless child.
So hold the line where love remains,
Though tears may fall like endless rains.
For in the breaking, something new
Begins again… with me, with you.
