We long for the awaited day
When Jesus will come again
With a rod of judgment when the earth will shake.
Kingdoms fall and the skies light up.
Creation will take a different turn
When earth and heaven will be made afresh
Where a brand new world will start again
And the faithless perish under tge weight of sin.
Tears and fear will pass away
Replaced by joy and unending praise
Embraced in riverting light that shines so bright
As angels bow before God’s sight .
Yes, time draws near but are you awake,
Waiting patiently till our Saviour comes?
His presence will be known to his chosen ones
Who watch expectantly for that final day
