Not good enough is all you hear,
A silent whisper that snakes its way to the ear
An unwelcome guest trying to perserve
And bore a hole that is so severe.
A shadow that lingers on the edge of thoughts,
That brings to bear upon the weary heart.
And stirs up sad feelings that leaves it mark
On the fragile souls where depression takes hold.
In quiet monotones false claims are made.
Reminding you of your perfections and your flaws,
Showing how incapable people make you feel,
Insignificant to all you meet.
Be brave and strong, do not let go
Of the strength and power that reigns within.
Through the darkness, hope will emerge
And conquer what lies deep inside.
Face your challenges with an open mind,
And you will conquer every trial you see.
So, don’t let people fool you into believing
That you are the worse, rise up and show them what you are really worth.
