Now I muse on what I lost.
All the arguments and the cost
Custody battles that left their scars
On the children that see our relationship as bizarre.

Hurtful words have left their mark.
Children stunned by your remarks .
Actions marred their love for you
And in their confusion they have withdrawn  from you.

So ,what comes next as years go by,
And the children become adults and deny,
Your existence and all you have done
And the lies that you have spun.
