The prophets foretold the One who would come
And change the fate of all humanity.
He only came so we would become
Saved and free to practice christianity.
His mother wept, no solace kept,
sorrow filled in deep despair.
She watched it all but did not dare,
Go to his aid as Jesus fell .
He bore our stripes,
He bore our pain ,
Removed all shame, so that we would gain,
Life eternal because He overcame.
The obedient Son,
Who bore the cross,
At such a cost,
And paid the price to save the lost
What sacrifice, what perfect price ,
They both did bear for all humanity.
So now we know that we are saved,
and free to practice Christianity.
