Sounds of war clamour all around
Peace and joy cannot be found
People walk for miles on end
Searching for a place to rest
Crossing waters that rage on
Cold and hungry with nowhere to go
Afraid,dejected with kids in tow
Wondering in which direction they should go
Children cry and then you sigh
You are fortunate to be alive
Fighting fear that climbs to new heights
Thinking who will save them from this plight
Refugees not of their own designs
Victims of a senseless war
Scarred emotionally by what they have lost
Praying time will heal their loss
