Christmas draws forever near
As we celebrate God’s precious gift
Who came to earth for all mankind
To lift oppression and save the lost
He shed His glory for a humble abode
To fulfill the message as scripture foretold
So as we rejoice at the Saviour’s birth
Let’s recall why He came for us
When Shepherds brought him gold,frankincense and myrrh
signifying trials that were up ahead
A sacrifice that would change the world
And open channels to life above
Let’s remember the Christmas story
Where Jesus showed love instead of glory
put away everything that leads to folly
And focus on God’s grace and being godly
