REFORMED

They call me reject but I’m reformed
I turned a corner and now I’m straight
I don’t do drugs but I had a hand
In what went down while in a gang

I went along so I would belong
and became a hoodlum in the slum
We peddled drugs and stolen guns
Till one day I was sent down

The things I did are in the past
I will regret it till the day I die
I realise now the harm I caused
By doing what the gang endorsed

I’ve learnt a lot while in my cell
And now believe I’m a better man
An online course has helped me out
I’ve qualified and am married now

So listen closely to my advice
Stay off the streets and learn at school
There’s nothing worse than giving in
And being a victim of circumstance
